Marisa Amaya is an experienced industry professional with a hospitality, tourism, event management, and social media marketing background. She brings over 24 years of experience to the Los Fresnos Education Foundation. As a resident and honored graduate of Los Fresnos, she is wholeheartedly invested in empowering local students, enhancing educational opportunities, and strengthening community connections. Marisa holds a Project management certification and various certifications in her field. In her free time,

she enjoys staying active through and supporting her kids at their events. Her passion for community engagement extends beyond work, as she also enjoys assisting in producing events like 5Ks and Run the Jailbreak, reflecting her dedication to fostering active and connected communities. Marisa Amaya chose to serve on the Education Foundation Board because she wants to give back to the education system that has played a significant role in her life—one that has supported her family’s careers and now nurtures her children’s growth and success.
